We were shuttled to a drop in on the Holston River and we kayaked 5-6 miles right into downtown Knoxville, on the Tennessee River! It was a very peaceful trip (with lots of work), including being right under small airplanes landing at Island Home airport. We booked this trip thru KnoxvilleAdventure.com.
