We enjoyed a morning hiking in a beautiful place sitting peacefully in Oak Ridge, TN. “The UT Arboretum is a project of the University of Tennessee Forest Resources AgResearch and Education Center. It generally hosts more than 30,000 visitors annually. This 250 acre research and education facility has over 2,500 native and exotic woody plant specimens that represent 800 species, varieties, and cultivars.” There are almost a dozen short trails anywhere from .5 to 2.0 miles each. They are all interwoven and we walked just over 3 miles total. We watched a deer munch on some twigs, and took some fun pictures by a stream. It was a beautiful day, and we had a great time finding yet another hidden spot right here in Knoxville! A trail map can be found here…http://utarboretum.tennessee.edu/Arboretum%20Trails%20Map.pdf
