We love our doggie and we plan to find another rescue at some point, but in the meantime, we dropped off lots of yummy dog treats, leashes, toys, and collars. INTAKE
We took in 1,018 animals in August including 378 adult dogs, 326 kittens, 222 cats, 60 puppies,
11 pigs, 8 rabbits, 5 goats, 4 hamsters, 1 duck, 1 lizard, 1 rat and 1 snake. Of the total, 30 animals
were brought in for owner requested euthanasia.
Wildlife: We took in 25 wildlife animals including raccoons, rabbits, skunks, various birds, bats,
groundhogs, opossums, squirrels and mice.
ADOPTION
There were 662 adoptions in August, with 19 from Petco, 31 from the Village, and 54
from foster homes.
RETURNED TO OWNER
133 animals were reunited with their owners from the shelter with an RTO rate of 13%.
Another 41 were returned in the field by Animal Services.
